My girls learned to play hopscotch today and they gave it their all! They probably spent more time falling than actually playing, but there was much silliness and many giggles, so it was worth it.
One of the things I love about this project is that I get to see glimpses into people's lives who have older children. I am really mired down in toddler-hood right now and feeling like, perhaps, I was not meant to be the mother of a toddler. Seeing your older girl playing hopscotch reminds me that my whole life won't be an endless stream of nursing and tantrums :)
My little girls are so close in age that I thought I would be nursing and changing diapers forever! My youngest is one now and I can see the light at the end of that tunnel!
